Precious Metals Trading and the Recycling of Rhodium: Detailed Operational Process

Hello, friends. In this issue, I will discuss the knowledge of rhodium recycling. Please take notes, as recycling rhodium from scrap materials is not a simple task. I will interpret this process directly and in detail, giving you a clear understanding of rhodium recycling.

Platinum group metal
Rhodium recycling is a broad concept because these rhodium scraps can be in the form of powder, crystals, or solutions. These wastes may be industrial catalysts or other rhodium-containing materials, and collecting them can be very troublesome.

After collection, physical and chemical pretreatment is performed to separate the rhodium from other substances. We use acid dissolution to convert solid waste into liquid, and then extract rhodium through chemical reactions.

The rhodium is then converted into a soluble form, and it is separated from the solution through chemical precipitation and other methods. The extracted rhodium is then repeatedly dissolved and precipitated for purification treatment, which is a significant process in the trading of precious metals like rhodium.
